The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar is among the six municipalities of the Region that have obtained this distinction awarded by the Laboratory of Journalism and Communication for Plural Citizenship (LPCCP) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, has received today the InfoParticipa seal, which certifies the City of San Pedro del Pinatar for the quality and transparency of local public communication.

This seal is granted as a result of the study carried out by the LPCCP, in collaboration with the universities of Murcia and UCAM, in which the transparency of the municipal websites is evaluated through 52 indicators, adapted to the Transparency Law, being located San Pedro del Pinatar in 94.23% compliance.

This stamp, which is considered the highest distinction, above 90%, and has also been obtained by Cartagena (100%), Las Torres de Cotillas (96.15%), Alcantarilla (92.31%), Lorquí (90, 38%) and Águilas (90.38);

while the mention has been granted to Mula (86.54%).

The InfoParticipa Map is a tool that the UAB LPCCP has been promoting since 2012 to promote transparency and the quality of information from local administrations.

After receiving this badge, the mayor has influenced the commitment of the current government team for transparency, institutional control and government open to citizens.

The event was attended by the Minister of Transparency, Participation and Spokesperson, Noelia Arroyo, and the President of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, Joaquín Hernández.
