Yesterday the International Book Day was celebrated in San Pedro del Pinatar with a recital of prose and poetry in the Plaza de España in which local writers and the Mar Menor Comarca participated as well as live music by the Municipal School of music.
Thus, Lola Belmonte, Gema Bocardo, Francisco Ferrer, Charo Garcia Baño, Victor Jerez, Tania Sanchez, Maria Luisa Gonzalez and Santiago Hernandez, enlivened the afternoon with their texts.
This act is part of the broad program organized by the Department of Culture with the aim of putting value to local authors, while encouraging reading and creating a space for the dissemination of culture.
The program continues tomorrow, Wednesday, April 25, at 8:00 pm, with the presentation at the Casa de Cultura of the detective novel "Versos envenenados", by Francisco Javier Illán Vivas, a novel that appears in the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar and that he was a finalist for the Wilkie Collins novel prize.
