The Department of Employment has launched in the IES Dos Mares the program "OrientaJoven" San Pedro, aimed at students who complete the cycle of secondary and high school, with the aim of showing them the different tools and options that have both at the training level as a work
The Mayoress of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, together with the Councilors of Employment, José Fernández, and Education, Guadalupe García, visited the Dos Mares Institute today, accompanied by its director, María Jesús Cantos Del Viejo, where during the month April "OrientaJoven San Pedro" has been developed.
This program aims to guide students who complete their cycle in ESO and Bachillerato in their professional future, showing the different options that are presented in the academic field and that will allow them to enter the labor market.
Thus, through participatory dynamics and workshops, young people are asked to identify their interests, the resources they have and the expectations they have regarding the future.
In addition to publicizing the resources of employment and training available.
The OrientaJoven program is designed for young people in Pinar del Rio to have the necessary tools to make their own decisions in a major transition to higher education or to immersion in the labor market through a first job.
This program is coordinated by the technician of the council of employment in coordination with the department of orientation of the educative centers and in a future it will be realized with students of professional formation.
AWARD IN THE VI CONTEST "THE CHEMISTRY IN MY ENVIRONMENT"
During the visit, the mayor also wanted to congratulate the group of students of 4th ESO of the subject of Physics and Chemistry that recently won the First Prize, for the second consecutive year, of the VI Contest "Chemistry in my environment", organized by the Territorial Section of the Region of Murcia of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ-Murcia).
The project, directed by Professor Francisco Rojas, is titled "Our Kitchen, lots of chemistry to eat it!", And consisted in the preparation of traditional quince jelly from a chemical perspective, analyzing its cooking and conservation process, as well as its properties and benefits.
Also in this classroom, the mayor was able to convey her congratulations to Lucía Sánchez, a student who is among the 19 students in the Region who have obtained one of the Amancio Ortega Foundation's Immersion Scholarships, for which she will take the 1st Baccalaureate in U.S.
