The Mayor, Visitación Martínez, attended today the closing of the Cultural Week of the educational center of San Pedro Apóstol, which this year has been about the Region of Murcia, its culture, history and traditions.
Thus, this week of activities has concluded with a tribute to the popular festivities of the Region, with a parade through the center where a representation of the local pilgrimage of the Virgen del Carmen, with Bando de la Huerta and the Burial of the Sardine, and that has concluded with the burning of the Sardine.
In addition, throughout this quarter the students of the center have worked from different departments in various aspects of the Region, reflecting this knowledge in beautiful works that can be seen in the center.
The students and teachers of children have transformed the first floor of the school into a representation of the Mar Menor, while elementary students have exhibited their work in which they reflect emblematic places, traditions, gastronomy, etc., both local and the encañizadas, the cauldron or the spas;
as regional, with orchards, the Sardine or the cathedral of Murcia.
