San Pedro del Pinatar held the fifth edition of the "La Sal" micro-story competition organized by the Department of Culture in collaboration with Salinera Española.
This contest, asked the participants to tell a story in less than 150 words with salt as the main element and with the aim of promoting and rewarding the creative and literary spirit around one of the most representative elements of the municipality.
The jury, composed by the librarian Mª Del Carmen Lloris, the theater director, Enrique Fuster del Alcázar and the journalist, Emilio Tomás García, awarded the first prize, worth 200 euros and second prize, to the short story "La Sal del Abuelo", by Ginés Pérez Morales;
while "Rutina", by Raúl Clavero Blázquez, won the second prize, worth 100 euros and second prize.
The stories "On the other side of the balcony" by José Luis Guadalajara Medina and "Lágrimas de sal" by Alfonso Rebollo García, were finalists of the Fifth La Sal micro story contest, on a night enlivened by Juanma Martínez, director of the Municipal School of Music and the readings of Mª Luisa González Cid and Charo García.
The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez and the Councilor for Culture, Silvia Egea, presented the prizes to the authors in this significant act that is part of the extensive program to celebrate the Day of the Book that continues during the end of week with the Book Fair in the Plaza de la Constitución.
