The councilman of Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Mark David Grace, and the representative of Proart Music, Jorge Martínez Asensio, today signed a cooperation agreement to promote musical culture in the municipality.
Under this agreement, the municipal school of music scheduled for the first time classes for children three to six years, with a teaching method based on new technologies, which includes classes in percussion and electronic pianos and applied software.
Also, the educational program developed by Proart include a methodology for students over six years with electronic books that teachers and students will be modified and enlarged during the classes.
In this way, students will have personalized learning materials, as well as a multitude of specialized software applications related to music.
Piano lessons will cost 50 euros per month and Proart equip classrooms with seven electronic pianos, seven computers last generation, different educational software and teaching materials.
After the signing, the councilman of Culture, Mark Grace, stressed that "this agreement is innovative and provides an opportunity for future students of the School of Music," a center which he described as "alternative entertainment "in addition to other proposals as promoting music festivals pop, folk and flamenco, among others.
Municipal music school has over 200 students and has recently been assigned to the Examination Centre Trinity College London, in order to improve the quality of teaching.
For his part, Jorge Martínez Asensio has commented that in the classroom that manages Proart, piano lessons are available for groups of seven students from three years of age, electronic pianos and computers for children to have fun with music and pointed out that San Pedro is the first town in the peninsula that has this technology in music teaching.
