The jury today valued ideas submitted 25 projects for the construction of this new infrastructure will have more platforms, a tourist office and a small shopping arcade.
A total of 25 projects have taken part in the design competition organized by the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar for the creation of a new bus station, which will expand and improve public transport services in the municipality.
The City Council has convened this contest at the deterioration of the current season, as well as its small space, which limits the number of bus lines that reach the town.
The new station will have a partially covered platform that allows simultaneous shutdown of six buses, with possible extension to 12; box office ticket sales and administration offices and passenger service.
In the contest also provides that the station has a Tourist Information office, other security, enabled the local police, and a café, shopping arcade, taxi stand and parking for buses, cars and bicycles, among other services .
The new infrastructure will be located in the municipal lot located between Calle Mayor José María Tárraga, Móstoles, Paul Gaugin and Painter Artist Claudio Coello, which is currently partially occupied by the old bus station.
The jury, which met today, assess the quality of the proposals, the adequacy of program features functions provided by the municipality, and their adaptation to the urban structure in which the new station is inserted.
The project is funded with 70,000 euros, endowed by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, to be delivered to the project that is chosen by the jury.
