These centers will host quarterly consultations in ophthalmology, dentistry and otolaryngology, as well as weekly visits by a nurse, under an agreement between the Institute on Aging, University of Murcia and the City Council approved today by the local government board.
Pensioner households in the San Pedro del Pinatar and Lo Pagan and Day Care Center José Espinosa run from this month with new services in health care, under an agreement between the Council and the Institute on Aging, University of Murcia.
Under this agreement, these centers will first quarterly consultation with a professional in ophthalmology, dentistry and other ENT.
In addition, a nurse will visit the homes of pensioners two hours a week and three hours a week for the day center.
The objective of this agreement is twofold, as it will improve the well-being of older people living in the city and also enable the formation and specialization of the professionals involved with this group.
With this agreement, the City Council reinforces its commitment to citizenship, and particularly with the largest in the county, offering a comprehensive and effective health service to improve the welfare conditions of this sector of the population.
