The Alicante Jaime Espinosa, cycling club La Algorfa, the winner of the race, which took place on a street circuit, which ran through the center of town, the road to Las Salinas and the beaches of the town.
A total of 137 cyclists participated today in the race X Chaplain Memorial, organized by the cycling club of San Pedro del Pinatar, sponsored by the City Council.
The race started just after 11:00 am, across from City Hall, and consisted of six laps of a city tour that passed through the center of town, on the N-322, up to the City Air (San Javier) The Pagan and the road to Las Salinas.
Minutes before 13:00, Jaime Espinosa, the Algorfa Club, crossed the finish line, followed by José Antonio Morote and Francisco Javier Vidal.
The good weather encouraged many dozens of brokers cycling clubs in the region, such as Torre Pacheco, Los Alcazares, Sewer and Cieza, in addition to those from the Vega Baja in Alicante, as Orihuela, Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada Almoradi Villa Joyosa or Algorfa.
The race went off without incident, although there were areas where the road remained swamped by heavy rainfall yesterday.
The day ended with the rider awards, run by the Sports Council Members and Police, Lorenzo Martinez and Francisco José Berenguer, who were accompanied by other members of the municipal corporation and the daughter of "Chaplain", a member of the club died 10 years ago and who pays homage in this race.
The prizes for three winners were three hams, and also distributed to the 45 top finishers, steaks (4 to 15), salami and sausages (16 to 30) and bottles of wine (31 to 45).
