The Department of Youth has provided for the second consecutive year, sex education courses to students from 3 and 4 of secondary institutes in the city, a few sessions this week have focused on HIV, coinciding with the commemoration of the day global AIDS.
The talks have been divided in two blocks.
In the first week sessions with students of 3 º ESO have been spent talking about the myths and false beliefs that young people take on sexuality and contraceptive methods and prevention of STDs.
In this first phase, the classes with students of 4 º ESO, who have already received these courses last year, focuses on information about different types of birth control and talk about the first sexual experiences.
In this edition, it has unified the contents of the second week for all students focusing on informing the students of what is and how it is transmitted HIV / AIDS.
In these sessions, reports on risk behaviors, transmission routes and health education tools, in order to avoid that students have a negative image of people infected by HIV, break down prejudices and social awareness of the need to act against the epidemic.
