The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Jose Garcia, accompanied by the president of the Housewives' Association and Users Our Lady of Mercy, Immaculate Borbolla, today opened the rake solidarity, organized annually by this group because of the holidays.
In the event, which members have attended the municipal corporation, has exposed some of the work produced by women associated to the rake, and embroidered tablecloths, decor, home furnishings and Christmas decorations.
The association organizes voluntary activity for years, with the collaboration of several shops in town that give the materials, and the benefits of sales goes to the Association of Families of Children with Cancer (Afacmur).
During the ceremony also paid tribute to Pilar de la Osa, a member of the association, for their involvement in workshops where items are made which are then offered for sale.
Residents of the municipality may go to the rake, located at the headquarters of the association (Calle Concepción Escribano, No. 5) during the month, pending the holidays.
