The Director General of Evaluation and Regional Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Rosa Peñalver, the government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Jose Garcia, visited the school today awarded the Archimedes Award research work.
Elementary students from the School of Early Childhood Education No. 1 San Pedro del Pinatar showed the activity this morning has earned them the award for Labor Research in the Hall of Murcia, awarded by the Center for Scientific Research ( CSIC).
The mayor of the municipality, Jose Garcia, accompanied by the delegate of the Government, Rafael González Tovar, and the Director General of Evaluation and Regional Cooperation, Rosa Peñalver, today visited the center awarded, where children have represented a small play that recreated the principles of molecular theory.
A dozen students from primary six and seven years have represented the water molecules and how they react to these when they come in contact with other elements such as salt or oil.
During the months that have developed the project, the kindergarten teachers have developed four experiments with children about the molecular theory, which resulted in the production of soap.
The objective of this project was to apply science in a practical way and this was related to the molecular theory of hygiene, while teaching principles such as evaporation, dissolution or students.
The Director General of Evaluation, Rosa Peñalver, praised this kind of educational experiences based on symbolic learning to reinforce the knowledge passed on to small.
For its part, the Government Delegate, Rafael González Tovar, stressed the importance of such initiatives which ensures that children learn while having fun.
The municipal mayor also thanked the work of teachers of the center for the development of this program and highlighted the quality of the educational community in the municipality.
The mayor, Jose Garcia, has provided the leadership and the teachers at the Children's School No. 1 in San Pedro del Pinatar a distinction for the development of this project.
