Police Local of San Pedro del Pinatar held the day of its patron, Saint Patrick, with a full program of events that began with a Mass at the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, at 12:00 pm and continued with a pass magazine on the square of the Constitution by the Mayor, José García Ruiz, Councilman Police Chief Francisco Berenguer and this body, Manuel Belmonte.
During the official ceremony, held at the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia, a video is viewed on the path of the local police and handed over the prizes of the drawing contest "The Police Tutor", a unit for four years working in education civic center surveillance and driver education, among other functions.
Cape Antonio Herrera led to the awarding of diplomas to members of the local police in San Pedro del Pinatar they have done and passed the basic course use batons Extensible.
Were also awarded prizes for the police shooting competitions, football games and table 7, in which participating members of local police in several municipalities, the Guardia Civil and Civil Protection.
The program of events continued with the intervention of the Local Police Chief, Manuel Belmonte, who gave the awards posthumously to Joseph Mañogil and Antonio Saura, former members of the local police who died recently.
This act also recognized the work of agents Mariano Martinez, the 25 years of service to this body, Antonio Tárraga, for his work as Tutor Police, and Officer Manuel Antonio Almagro, who last January 31 was involved in a burning of the town, getting the occupants out of the house and avoiding the occurrence of injury.
Awards were also handed over to agents Francisco José Franco, Alejandro Trillo, José Antonio Martínez, Francisco de Asis Martín, Antonio Martínez, José Marín and José María Ojeda, the speed, diligence and correctness in the police service.
Belmonte noted that, among other actions, these agents involved in the arrest of a person who undertook more than a dozen robberies in the vehicle interior and the control and detection of a major fire.
Finally plates were given recognition for their continued cooperation with the Corps to the Civil Guard, Civil Protection and Cajamurcia San Pedro del Pinatar.
For his part, Councillor for Security Francisco Berenguer, highlighted the "excellent results" for the 52 staff members of the local police, and among the achievements in recent years, said the addition of twenty new agents the creation of special units, such as Agent Tutor, Unit Canine Unit and proximity as well as the implementation of the Security Master Plan and the Gender Violence.
Finally, the mayor has emphasized the social work done by the Local Police force, promoting civic education and promoting reintegration into society of those who comment on some type of crime, and concluded by congratulating all staff for their perseverance and work efficiency.
