The councilman of Culture and Tourism of San Pedro del Pinatar, Mark David Grace, the Councillor for Tourism in Los Alcazares, Isabel Montesinos, Luis San Juan, Murcia Salsa Association, today launched the contest to be held from 8 to 10 April.
The eleventh edition of Dance will be held from Murcia Los Alcazares, where he taught workshops and master classes, and San Pedro del Pinatar, which will host the evening shows and exhibitions.
Mark David Grace stated that it is the third year that San Pedro del Pinatar welcomes this important dance festival, which brings together every night more than 2,000 people at the Municipal Sports Pavilion, which is a great shot to shops and hotels in the city .
For his part, Montesinos has highlighted the quality and the cache of the professionals involved in the dance contest and has agreed about the impact of events in the tourism industry in the area.
In this regard, Luis San Juan has indicated that the organization has already registered more than 700 registrations for dance classes and workshops of people from all over Spain and European countries such as Portugal, France, Holland, Sweden or Norway.
In addition, stressed the international character of teachers, headed by Edi Torres, as well as groups and couples who participate in exhibitions, coming from the United States, Puerto Rico, Italy and Mexico, among others.
The opening event will be on Friday 8 April at the Pavilion at San Pedro del Pinatar with a show of two hours of salsa, to be followed by live music of Orquesta del Solar, who will pay tribute to Tito Puente.
On Saturday, he held classes, workshops and lectures from 11:00 to 19:00 in the High Performance Centre in Los Narejos and from 23:30 hours the show will be held in San Pedro del Pinatar, with exhibits of dancers worldwide.
On Sunday April 10 will be held classes and workshops, also from 11:00 to 19:00 and from 22:30 begin amateur dance show, with the contest ending.
The festival will bring to the collaborators municipalities infrastructure, municipal staff and transport services by bus between the two centers, while the fees of artists, sound and lights are paid by the organization.
