The Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the Workshop School Mill Quentin has done renovation and improvement of José Antonio Pérez Henarejos park, located on the Avenida del Puerto, near the Hotel Thalasia.
School Students Workshop have done in recent months, a comprehensive restoration of the park, which began with the removal of the planting in poor condition.
It has also executed a play area with two bocce courts, a gazebo and two ping-pong tables work.
In another area of ​​the park, the students have built seven hammocks with broken tile mosaics representing the seven chakras.
For its part, the workshop has planted native species gardening as lavender, rosemary, thyme and rock rose, in line with the flora of the nearby natural park of Las Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar.
The savings and sustainability have been the criteria for the selection of species.
To do this, it has been restored and automated irrigation system.
In addition, the paint shop has restored furniture and has done several decorative murals in the entrance and the playground with the park's name and coat of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Quentin Mill School Workshop is a joint program of training and employment, starting a year ago in order to facilitate the employability of young people under 25 unemployed.
This project, involving 27 students, including professional practice and training in the fields of masonry, painting and gardening.
Since its inception, the workshop school students have developed various works of improvement and refurbishment of municipal buildings and public spaces.
