The Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar today introduced the directors of secondary schools and representatives of the Plan AMPAS municipal drug prevention, that is agreeing with different groups before final approval
The Department of Health today announced the collective education of San Pedro del Pinatar the draft City Plan 2011-2015 drug prevention, to be agreed with representatives of various social groups in the municipality.
The mayor of Health, María José Albaladejo, stressed the importance of this meeting with the education group and the involvement of this sector in the development and implementation of the Plan, as it is one of the key sectors in the prevention and action against drug abuse.
At the meeting, held in the hall of the City Council, were present directors of the various colleges and institutes in the municipality as well as representatives of the Associations of Parents of Pupils (AMPAS) of these centers.
This Plan aims to implement a program to integrate all social groups in the municipality to achieve a more effective attention to the problem of drug use, promote coordination and complementarity of action and encourage implementation of new measures to cut consumption of drugs.
The Plan is divided into three organs of action such as the Department of Health, the Sectoral Council on Health and Safety and Technical Committee for Drug Prevention.
Thus, the Department of Health is responsible for the development and implementation of the plan, and the development of health programs and activities that promote healthy lifestyles.
The sector council for the prevention and health advisory status, will be chaired by the mayor and composed of councilors from different areas, and Red Cross members, parents' associations, youth associations, NGOs and foundations related to drug prevention and a representative of Service Murciano of Health and is responsible for making proposals and ensure compliance with the Plan.
For its part, the Technical Committee, comprising members of various councils, will design and coordinate programs in each of the areas involved and make a continued evolution and monitoring of each one of them.
The plan also raises a number of specific objectives and actions to improve prevention in different areas such as community, educational, family, health and employment.
After the first meeting with the education sector, the Department of Health will meet with youth associations, NGOs, and representatives of Murcia Health Service, among others.
