Members of this association have raised funds through the sale and exchange of used books for further reading in English from the local library
The library of San Pedro del Pinatar expand its funding of English publications by the Association of San Pedro anglophone (ADAPT), which during the past school year held the second season of sharing and selling used books in this municipal center.
ADAPT has traded partnership and sold hundreds of books at symbolic prices, between 20 and 50 cents, which has allocated funds to purchase reference books for the study of English grammar, dictionaries, vocabularies and textbooks at different levels, valued at more than 250 euros.
It is the second time ADAPT developed this initiative, because in an earlier edition and won several children's books in English, acquired with the proceeds of this project.
The objective of this activity is to encourage the exchange of books among readers because it is a common practice among the British population, in addition to providing municipal library updated publications in English to promote the study of this language.
The president of the association, Jane Cronin, along with Jo Turner and Lorraine Dear, today presented the package of reference books in English to the councilman of Culture, Mark David Grace.
