The Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar today held an extraordinary plenary session which approved two economic measures to address the payment to suppliers and debt to cash Social Security.
The Plenum of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar today approved in special session, an extra-credit operation of 1.5 million euros for payments to suppliers and the splitting and rescheduling of debt with the Social Security Treasury.
Thus, the full agreed, unanimously, the conclusion of an operation extrajudicial credit of 1.5 billion euros and Cajamurcia Cajamar entities to be allocated to confirming payment of arrears.
That is, the debt to suppliers who had taken advantage of the payment formula.
In this regard, the mayor of the municipality, Visitation Martínez, said that the City is forced to do this credit "recklessness of the previous socialist government team, because the Treasury had warned failure to meet deadlines expiration of confirming. "
Moreover, the House has approved the deferral and debt division of the Social Security Treasury, amounting to 1.2 million euros.
It has been agreed with the votes in favor of PP and DPI and the non-PSOE, the division of payment with the public body to 60 months.
In this sense, the mayor said that "the actual data for June suggest that the City's indebtedness exceeds 30 million euros," although he qualified that expect to have the financial and economic diagnosis of the real situation, to be known after the audit, to implement measures in the medium and long term.
He has also reiterated that the current government team is working from day to resolve and find solutions to the critical economic situation of the council with interventions focusing on cost containment and reduction of debt.
