The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Martinez Visitation, today introduced the new government team to the ombudsman, José Pablo Ruiz Abellán, who has to hear complaints and suggestions that the municipality's citizens have moved to this institution.
The mayor of the municipality recalled that since 2009, the Federation of Municipalities of the Region and the Ombudsman maintains a cooperation agreement by which citizens can file complaints directly administrations at City Hall.
Also, Visitation Martinez has praised the role of this institution which guarantees the rights of citizens and helps improve the functioning of the administration.
Meanwhile, the Ombudsman pointed out that since the institution was managed defends that demand transparency and efficiency in the working of government.
As for San Pedro del Pinatar, the defender has indicated that this institution has collected a dozen neighborhood complaints related to various government relating to education, health, social policy, planning, noise and public employment, among other topics.
