The networks have appeared today with about a dozen slices of up to 10 meters produced, apparently intentionally with a sharp object.
The Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar has now detected at least eight slices up to 10 meters in length in networks containing jellyfish located on the beaches of Villananitos.
After several swimmers alerted the increase of jellyfish in the swimming area, boat Civil Protection has found that networks that prevent the passage of coelenterates were broken in several areas.
The characteristics of these defects suggest that may have occurred intentionally with a sharp object as it is longitudinal in the middle of the network.
In this situation, the City of San Pedro del Pinatar has intensified the work of cleaning the bathing areas concerned and has alerted the Fisheries Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, which owns the network, which has already begun to repair them.
