A total of 40 musicians, aged between 9 and 40, have passed the tests of this prestigious international research center has more than 130 years of experience.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, president of the Musical Union, Jorge Martinez, and Council of Culture and Information Technologies, and Alvaro Egea Tárraga Silvia, gave yesterday the diploma to the students of the municipal school music they have passed the examinations of Trinity College London Center.
The students were examined during the month of June in different degrees of string instruments, percussion and wind through Trinity Guildhall, a non-profit organization that tests the creative arts in over 50 countries.
The municipal school of music is associated with this entity since 2009 and is the only center in the region using this method of assessment, said Jorge Martinez.
He highlighted that the first examination session at which students attend the local school and have obtained a 100 percent pass rate, most of them with distinction or mention.
For its part, the Mayor praised the work of teachers and students for the "courage" to implement this new qualification system, with European recognition.
Also highlighted cultural and educational function of this group, which has about 200 students in initiating and musical language, piano, guitar, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and percussion.
