The general director of the Institute on Aging Murciano Social Action (IMAS), Enrique Pérez Abellán, alderman and Social Policy of the City of San del Pinatar, Francisca Pelegrin, today visited the residence Villademar and Messengers of Peace.

The first visit was in the residence Villademar, which has 120 seats for domestic residents, of which 78 are currently occupied, and 100 hospital places average duration stays, through an agreement with the Health Service of Murcia.
The center and residence Los Almendros de Cartagena are the only ones that combine the region's health service and home stays for inmates averages.
Furthermore, the residence offers a total of 120 beds for inmates, 45 supported by the IMAS, of which 35 spaces are for psychogeriatric unit.
The center, which occupies 12,000 square meters and has dining rooms, cafeteria, hairdresser, podiatry, physiotherapy rehabilitation, gardens, etc..

The center opened in 2003 and recently renovated, offers services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy workshops or hairdresser.

The IMAS manages over 3,000 residential places between domestic and day centers for seniors throughout the region.
