The municipalities of San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier have stopped funding the bus carrying the students from both universities municipalities of Murcia and Cartagena.
Students are thus doomed to pay about four euros each way from downtown to San Pedro del Pinatar Murcia.
An average student, to make 40 trips a month, will spend € 160 on transport to college, more than it costs to rent a room in the capital.
This policy of cuts in social issues is rejected by UPyD, who believes that there are many other outstanding issues which cut before this service.
From City of San Pedro del Pinatar, however, say they have no responsibility for the interruption, as it was San Javier who took the first step.
Both municipalities are governed by the PP, it is conceivable that they could have reached an agreement to take forward the college bus if they were really concerned about the matter.
From UPyD not understand the lack of coordination between the two councils and lack of interest in providing transportation to the university.
In San Pedro del Pinatar, however, have launched a small grants for transportation, but they are a less appropriate than the University Bus, since the service was a special time that suited the times of entry and Student dismissal.
Finally, it had to be the University Association Mar Menor which has launched an interim service from San Pedro Bus university and San Javier, whose residence is subject to demand.
From UPyD congratulated the association for supplying the errors of the two councils and offer their help you need.
