More than 40 employers in Lo Pagan held a meeting yesterday with the mayor of the municipality, Visitation Martinez, and the councilman of Commerce, José Guillermo García, to discuss projects and initiatives that the government team will develop in the area.
During the meeting, the mayor announced to the merchants, from January to May will be held trade fairs in different sectors on the esplanade of Lo Pagan, in order to promote tourism and business activity in the area outside the summer period.
In this regard, said a tent will be installed over thirty stands, made by the City Council, which will host exhibitions dedicated to sectors such as fashion, gastronomy, nautical and automotive, among others.
The mayor invited the businessmen to be involved in this initiative, proposing topics and activities that enrich parallel the different fairs.
Meanwhile, the Councillor of Commerce, José Guillermo García, said that in the coming months will continue the adequacy of the center of Lo Pagan, in paving the streets around Antonio Tárraga, such as García Morato, Vizcaya and Chacon and bald
In this regard, Garcia highlighted the success of this reform Tárraga Antonio Street and temporary closure to traffic during the summer months, as they expand to these streets.
The president of the Association of Lo Pagan, Jose Saez, valued municipal proposals to promote trade throughout the year and urged its members to work hand in hand to get the City Council that these initiatives will result in a greater influx of visitors throughout the year.
Other topics discussed during the meeting were the implementation of the Marine Activities Centre, formal reopening of the bars of the curve and the proposed underground parking.
