The Department of Women and Equality has planned various activities as a solidarity march against violence, a presentation to reinforce self-esteem and an institutional event that will close the activities

The City of San Javier has scheduled a series of activities during the week to commemorate the International Day Against Violence Against Women, held on Friday 25 November.

So, on Wednesday 23, the Women's program "Between Us", will address self-esteem issues and will focus on developing social skills of the participants in an activity guided by a psychologist, entitled "I'm the hero of my life," which be held in the Social Services building and Equality from 10:00.

The program will continue on Thursday 24, with a solidarity march, framed in the "coming together".

On this occasion, women participants will tour the Regional Park of Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar and will wear bibs with messages against abuse.

On Friday November 25 will be an official ceremony at City Hall, where he read a manifesto against Gender Violence, white ribbons will be distributed among the audience and remembered the victims of this scourge.

In addition to these acts, the Department of Equality works throughout the month on activities related to the fight against this type of violence, and the November 16 local police conducted a course on self defense for women in the municipality, which also given guidelines on how to react to an attack.

For its part, the Department of Social Services within the Family Program, a workshop developed since November abuse prevention in high schools and a program of intervention with offenders.

Thus, a social educator taught, during the month of November abuse prevention workshop in high schools in the municipality, aimed at students in third year of secondary school and aims to reduce abusive behavior through direct intervention with the adolescents.
