San Javier closed yesterday acts of the 175th anniversary of the establishment of City Hall at a gala which honored individuals and groups who have participated in the commemoration activities.
During his speech, the mayor acknowledged the involvement of all citizens who have participated in various activities have been aimed at "preserving and strengthening the spirit of San Javier, the traits that define and identify a municipality."
During the gala awards were handed out various activities in the field of education, such as "Discovering the City Council at its 175th anniversary," a contest of ideas in which fourth-grade children plasma through the drawing, poetry writing and his vision of the municipality.
Also distinguished schools Hopes, Maspalomas, Villa Alegria, Los Antolinos, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Los Pinos and Castelar College, for their participation in the activity "Once upon a time, 175 years of history", in which children have learned through the story, the history of the town.

As high school students, the Department of Education announced yesterday the jury's verdict in the Comic Contest "175 years of history" with a first prize of the edition of 1,000 copies which went to two students of the Institute Joel Angelo Yuqui Mares, Lesley Penelope Pine, Houda Mazari, Zayra Franco and Hao Zhang.
It was also discovered during the gala winning image "Photo Safari," a contest in which participants had to translate, through the mobile phone images to identify with the municipality, its festivals, shops, urban and natural spaces, and so on.
The prize in this contest, which was a digital camera, Dolores went to Bath to translate environmental diversity of our community in a setting such as salt, a faithful witness of the history of San Javier.
Likewise, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, presented two projects that start in the 175 th anniversary but that will be developed through 2012, the Bank of Wisdom and Memories Pinatarense Crusades.
The mayor said the Bank of Wisdom, organized by the Department of Citizen Participation in collaboration with the pensioner households, will collect the oral heritage of the largest municipality, and explained that, in parallel, the association shall prepare a draft cultural Aike audiovisual, called "Memories Crusades," which collected these experiences that mark our recent history.

Since September 16, the day commemorating the 175th anniversary of the establishment of the City of San Javier, the council has carried out various activities in the educational, cultural and social, in order to commemorate this event and dissemination of local history among citizens.
