The Director of the Institute on Aging, University of Murcia, Vincent Vincent, Mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation, and the Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia, today launched the site that this institution will be at the center of Social Services the municipality
The center of Social Services and Women of the City of San Javier hosts today a branch of the Institute on Aging, University of Murcia.
The mayor of the municipality, Visitation Martinez, the Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia, and the institute's director, Vicente Vicente, today inaugurated the new headquarters from which to coordinate training activities, dissemination and research related to aging.
The mayor of the municipality, Visitation Martinez, highlighting the work of the Institute who taught for three years specialized training in geriatrics and the care system in the municipality, through the People's University.
Meanwhile, Vicente Vicente, said that from this new office will coordinate all courses taught at San Javier and outreach activities about the importance and research projects.
In this regard stated that the institute has initiated research projects related to quality of life and aging in collaboration with the pensioner's homes and nursing homes in the municipality.
It has also pointed out that these actions will intensify, as well as informative in nature during this year because 2012 is the European Year of Active Ageing and international solidarity.
The new headquarters of the Institute of Aging is located in the building of Social Services and Women, located in Calle Doctor Myron de Castro.
