The numbers of unemployed in San Javier has again broken a sad record: 2,741 people are unemployed in the municipality, according to data published by the SEPES unemployment for the month of January.
It is the highest figure in recent years and represents more than 53 people in December 2011.
According to data from SEPES, the vast majority of the unemployed (1683) comes from the service sector and are between 25 and 44.
Councilman UPyD in San Javier, José Luis Ros Medina, regretted this data and has been described as "disastrous and cruel."
"The contracts are reactivated only in July and August and the unemployed in the municipality can not be just waiting until summer to get a seasonal" said the councilman.
Councilman magenta asked the government team working to create a stable business network, which does not depend on summer tourism and create jobs throughout the year.
It is also necessary that the tourism council is working in earnest to get a seasonal tourism, as it is a great potential of the people, nor should not be limited to the summer season.
"Every week there are new signs of" Sold, rented or transferred "both San Pedro and in Lo Pagan, not just shops or bars," José Luis Ros revealed.
"In UPyD support the holding of the fair outlet this weekend in Lo Pagan, but the people need a specific plan to revive trade and to encourage entrepreneurs to start their own business.
So in March the next plenary session we will present two motions with specific proposals and measures to boost employment and local businesses. "
From UPyD believe that the role of the opposition is not only monitor the actions of the government, but also provide suggestions and ideas to help improve people's lives and pinatarenses.
