The Department of Education of the City of San Javier takes a training course for parents that focuses on drug prevention, conflict resolution and behavioral problems, and the use of new technologies.
The Department of Education of the City of San Javier, in collaboration with the Associations of Parents of Pupils (AMPAS) in the city, develop a training course for parents focused on addressing and resolving their concerns as educators.
Thus, the course is divided into three blocks.
The first deals with prevention of alcohol and other drugs and is taught by two psychologists Diagram Foundation, under the "heliotrope" Murcia Health Service.
This module will address the incidence of drug use in adolescence, how to detect and deal with consumer problems resulting from alcohol abuse, the importance of social pressure and group, and what to do to prevent early.
The second block will focus on the most common behavior problems, conflict resolution, shared responsibility between families and schools in educating children and intervention techniques such as arbitration.
The last module will focus on new technologies and will discuss what to do to avoid possible dangers in accessing information unreliable and false information and inappropriate, dangerous, immoral or illegal.
This block also analyzed the habits and customs at home on internet use and how to set limits on the content and schedule.
The course consists of six sessions and is taught last week at the center of Social Services Thursday at 20.30 hours to 22.00 hours.
