The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez explained that in August were paid allowances of opposition pending since February 2011 and that the Board of Governors on 13 February approved a new order of priority of payments, which places the concept behind only wages and Social Security contributions
The mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation, today clarified that the current government team assumed the payment of allowances for councilors of the opposition of the last legislature, pending since February 2011.
Thus stated, in August, make the payment of salaries in arrears for the months of February, March, April and May 2011.
As for the delay in the current legislature, the mayor has noted that even these payments last month, having no consideration of wages, were at number 12 in the order of priority of payments, so that, given the economic situation found at City Hall surrounded with a debt of 40 million euros, any other concept was preferred to it.
To resolve this situation and expedite payment to the opposition councilors and the mayor of the government team charged only for assignments, the Local Government Board on 13 February agreed a new priority of payments set out in fourth place "allowances for attending the collegiate bodies," behind only the salaries of staff and Social Security contributions.
