The mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation, and the Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia, has today presented 400 copies of the comic contest winner "175 Years of History" to the winning group formed by students of the institute Dos Mares.
Students of Secondary School Dos Mares in San Pedro del Pinatar have today received a batch of 400 copies of the comic contest winner in the "175 Years of History", organized last quarter by the Department of Education to mark the 175th anniversary of the constitution of the Council.
The mayor, Visitation Martinez, and the Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia, have been delivered from this lot of comics to the center's director, Gregory Rabal, the head teacher, Jose Miguel Gomez, and students of ESO first comic strip Angelo Yuqui Joel, Lesley Penelope Pine, Houda Mazari, Zayra Franco, Liu and Zhang Hao Hjila Bouchra.
During the ceremony, the mayor highlighted the involvement and collaboration of the educational community in the acts of the 175th anniversary and thanked the staff of the center work to bring the municipality's history to students.
Also, has praised the creativity and research work done by all students participating in this activity.
She also pointed out that the first prize was the publication of 1,000 copies of the comic winner, of which 400 were distributed among the students of IES Two Seas and the rest will go to the library holdings of other schools and municipal libraries.
For his part, Councillor for Education has stated that the purpose of this contest was to involve secondary students in celebrating the 175th anniversary of the establishment of the Consistory, and let them know the most important events of local history during this time.
The director of IES Dos Mares, Gregory Rabal, thanked the City Council initiatives like this and has shown the willingness of the center to participate in all activities that may improve knowledge and training of students.
