The Department of Tourism of the City of San Javier improves customer service hours from March, extending the hours during the week and also provide service to visitors on Sundays and holidays
The Tourist Initiative Centre (ILC) of San Javier is expanding its schedule since March with the aim of improving the information service to the public.
Thus, the center will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 14:00 and evenings from 16:00 to 18:00 October to March, expand the schedule from April to September from 17:00 to 19:00.
In addition, Sundays and holidays, visitors can obtain information from the town center from 10:30 to 14:00.
The ILC only closed on local holidays and Christmas holidays and New Year.
The Department of Tourism also reported that during the celebration of the first edition of the Sea World Exhibition, 4 to 8 April, the consultations will be addressed in the tourist information center is located on the Esplanade of Lo Pagán 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00.
OVER 13,500 VISITORS IN 2011
The CIT, which houses the Tourist Information Office, belongs to the Network of Tourist Information Offices in the Region of Murcia and the system is certified ISO 9001 since 2003.
The Tourist Information Office in San Pedro received in 2011 a total of 13,597 visitors, this is an increase of 4.52 percent for the year 2010, year when 12,982 attended.
The Sun and Beach (86.21%) was one of the main reasons why San Javier was so attractive to visitors / tourists, followed by Health Tourism and Thalassotherapy (5.95%).
Tourist Information requests were received in the Office and in the Tourist Information Point The Esplanade were varied during the past year, emphasizing the application of Maps and Plans (30.52%), information on Transport (12.55%), proposals cultural and city (11.86%), programs of parties (11.06%), Tours and Excursions (9.45%) and information on Health and Thalassotherapy (4.38%).
