The Councillor for Citizen Participation in San Javier, Silvia Egea, today introduced the V Conference on Citizenship, to be held on 4 and 5 May in the center of Social Services and will include lectures, panel discussions and workshops aimed at associations.
The Social Services Center San Javier hosts the next 4 and 5 May the fifth edition of the conference for Citizen Participation, which this year are entitled "The Citizen Participation responses to global needs."
The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, explained today that this conference will address issues such as local development, ECI, the work of the organs of citizen participation, strengthening civil society or the role of associations .
It also stressed that this issue will be more practical, considering the possible actions the actions of citizens against the current situation and providing tools to local groups to strengthen the local associations.
Egea has indicated that the conference will begin on May 4 with a conference entitled "European Citizens' Initiative.
You can change the course, by the Director General of Foreign Affairs European Union and Autonomous Community, Carmen Maria Sandoval, which present a new tool by which the EU citizens can directly propose initiatives in matters within its competence.
Subsequently, Professor, Department of Economic Analysis at the University of Murcia, Pedro Jesus Hernandez, will give a presentation on "The youth labor market in the Region of Murcia"
On May 5 will be devoted entirely to the promotion of local associations, in order to give useful answers to the 137 associations registered in the municipality.
Thus, two workshops will be developed by the faculty of the Universidad Popular designed to promote awareness of the associations in social networks and their dissemination via Internet, and to report on practical issues of taxation for non-profits.
The association Majabuka taught the third workshop that will discuss various tools to encourage youth participation and subsequently held a panel of Practice, which will present their work during the past year Ardeida associations, Love for Love, Amites and Flamenco for All.
