The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, opened the event by the councilman of Culture and Celebration, Silvia Egea, and the president of the Rock The Cauldron, Luis Fernandez.
The Rock of Cauldron last night opened the seventh edition of the festival of Folklore Village of San Pedro, held on 8 and 9 June in the Park of La Aduana.
The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, along with the councilman of Culture and Celebration, Silvia Egea, and the association president, Luis Fernandez, opened this year involving various choirs and dance groups of the Rock The Cauldron municipal and school dances.
Visitation Martinez stressed the long history of this group of Songs and Dances, founded in 1979 and subsequently set up as La Peña El Caldero, this year celebrating its 25th anniversary as an association.
Also, the mayor thanked the involvement of the Rock in the holidays of the municipality and congratulated the more than fifty members for their work throughout the year.
Meanwhile, the council of Celebration, Silvia Egea, praised the Rock The Cauldron for their contribution in preserving the traditions and popular culture.
The rock The Cauldron this event closes today with the performance of the different choirs and dance groups from the rock.
