The Department of Social Services has provided, since last February, several workshops and courses aimed at improving social and labor integration of immigrants in the municipality.
Thus, two levels were taught the course "Spanish for daily life," which focuses on providing the basic tools that the students can communicate in common situations and scenarios as the supermarket, school or doctor's office.
Also performed during the month of February a basic course in self-centered preventive and first aid in the home, taught by Civil Protection in San Javier.
The training offer for immigrants has completed an orientation course work has consisted of three modules on active job search, where to look for work and tools such as resume, cover letter or response to an advertisement.
These courses have been developed during the first half of the year in the Social Services building and they have attended about a hundred of immigrant women.
The councilman of Social Services, Francisca Pelegrin, accompanied by the mayors of Civil Protection, Pedro Luis Vera, and Women and Education, Guadalupe Garcia, have presented the diplomas certifying the attendance at these courses.
