The first edition of this project included lectures and activities for women pinatarenses and that they have addressed issues as diverse as home economics, the role of women in art, mechanisms of defense and first aid tips Beauty and protocol techniques to build self-confidence or exercises to maintain a healthy lifestyle, among others.

The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez and Councilwoman Women and Equality, Guadalupe Garcia, today closed the first edition of the "Between Us", which has developed every Wednesday from October to June and in which dozens of women have participated in the municipality.

Visitation Martinez explained that this program applies the transversal which includes the Strategic Plan for Equal Opportunities of the Region of Murcia, from a particular perspective, as "Between Us" is conceived as a forum open to suggestions and concerns of women pinatarenses addressed in the knowledge of interest in many different fields and also have practical application in everyday life.

Also, the mayor praised the coordination and involvement of different municipal services that have participated in these talks, as consumption, local police, sport, civil protection, social services or the environment among others.

Also thanked the collaboration of professionals, as volunteers have participated in this cycle.

For his part, Councillor for Equality has stressed that the purpose of this program is to encourage the participation of women in different spheres of social life.

Among us has addressed issues such as employment, training, conciliation, social care, education, media, new technologies, sport and culture.

The mayor pointed out that "Between Us" is a learning space that has been continuously developed and has been complemented by other initiatives such as "Walking Together" or "gatherings of women."

Finally, we have made gifts to the 25 professionals who have contributed to these talks with a small detail and invited women to after the summer, continue to participate actively in this project, providing initiatives and experiences.
