The City of San Javier has welcomed today the first working meeting of the aldermen of Security Police and the municipalities of the Mar Menor and its environment to coordinate the activities during the summer months.
After the meeting, Councilman Police San Javier, Jerome Moya, explained that the six municipalities with a population of 360,000 inhabitants, but during the summer reach more than 800,000 residents, so it has affected the importance of coordinating more than 650 agents operating in these locations to ensure safety in this area.
During the day's work also involved the mayors of Police of San Javier, José Manuel Alart, Cartagena, Mariano Garcia, Torre Pacheco, Isidro Vivancos, Los Alcazares, Manuel Pedroza, and Pilar de la Horadada, Lancharro Francisco.
The councilors of the six municipalities affected the need to maintain constant communication and coordination during the summer months, mainly in coastal areas influenced by the several towns, including El Mojon, divided between San Pedro and Pilar de la Horadada, o Manga, sphere of influence of Cartagena and San Javier.
He also explained that they carry out joint actions between different bodies of police in specific events that focus on many people, traffic exits and entrances to coastal areas, mainly on weekends, or potential emergency situations.
This coordination includes assistance with technical and infrastructure, have noted the Selectmen.
They also highlighted the cooperation in this area with bodies and state security forces and praised the measures taken in this regard by the Government delegation, including returning this summer to the Mar Menor the Civil Guard patrols.
Thus, the councilors said that security in the area during the summer is guaranteed and influenced the importance of citizen cooperation to detect irregular situations.
Finally, indicated that this is the first meeting between the heads of the local police in the six municipalities but will return to coordinate joint efforts towards other key dates such as Christmas and Easter.
