The City of San Javier has prepared a monitoring device for the months of July and August covering eight kilometers of beaches of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean.
A total of 36 lifeguards make up the watchdog that from this Sunday, 1 July and late August, will operate in the 8 kilometers of beaches of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean in the municipality.
The operational summer beach surveillance, Copla included in the Plan approved by the regional government, will have 13 towers and five chairs proximity to facilitate monitoring and rescuing swimmers and users on the beaches of El Mojon, Tower Demolished, Burnt Hut and Salinas in the Mediterranean Sea, and the Puntica, Villananitos and La Mota in the Mar Menor.
Also, the rescuers have two rescue boats, water rescue two bikes, three canoes and two quads for rescue work and first aid.
In addition, points will be addressed Villananitos accessible and La Puntica, featuring amphibious chairs and crutches to make bathing easier for the disabled.
The controlled area will be expanded out into the deep with two sea rescue boats installed in the ports of Lo Pagan and Villa de San Pedro.
This monitoring device will be expanded during the first half of September to the beaches with bathers, located in the Mar Menor.
Rescuers will serve from 11:30 to 19:30 and the surveillance will be reinforced with posters and flags signaling information.
