San Javier yesterday celebrated the name day of its patron with several events to honor the apostle as the traditional procession through the town streets.
After holding a huertana Mass, attended by the Rondalla Pulse and Spike and the Rock The Cauldron, the brothers of the fraternity of St. Peter the Apostle behaved shoulders image of the pattern that paraded through the city center of the municipality.
The band of bugles and drums of the Brotherhood, followed by the Queens Child, Senior and Youth, accompanied by their courts of honor, opened the procession that came out around 20:30 pm in the Church of St. Peter the Apostle.
After the saint's image brought up the procession the board of the Brotherhood and the mayor of the municipality, Visitation Martinez, accompanied by members of the municipal and local authorities.
In addition, the Brotherhood of St. Peter the Apostle held in the morning, at 10:30 am Mass in honor of the official Patron of the town, concelebrated by seven priests and officiated by the parish priest Manuel Roberto Burgos.
After the mass, brotherhood gave out the medals to the new brothers and was awarded a distinction for Enrique Carrasco for his work in the framework of brotherhood.
In addition, a representation of children this year have taken their first communion highlighted the figure of St. Peter and sang the song to the apostle.
The events in honor of the patron were closed with the municipal band concert "Musical Union" at 22:00 at the Park of Customs, which on this occasion was accompanied by the Children's Musical Group "The Muses of Guadalupe" and firing a firework display at midnight.
