The Regional Executive has approved a contract in the amount of 1,287,264 euros for the reservation and occupation during the years 2012 and 2013, 115 places in day center for people with intellectual disabilities in San Javier.
The center is managed by the Association for the Integration of the Poor in the region of the Mar Menor (Aidemar), which has a long history in serving this group of people.
Such services offer comprehensive care to people with intellectual disabilities, in order to improve or maintain the highest possible level of personal autonomy and support to families or caregivers.
The care given at these centers includes services for welfare and therapeutic, recreational and occupational.
This recruitment is carried out to maintain an essential service for families who are responsible people with intellectual disabilities, as during the day offers quality care, tailored to the needs of each user, while the people dependent remain in the family.
