A total of 21 students in Initial Vocational Training Program (IPPP) offered by the City of San Javier during the 2011-2012 academic year will have access to intermediate level training courses
The Initial Vocational Training Program (IPPP) offered by the City of San Javier, through the Department of Education, during this academic year have yielded positive academic results, as 21 of the 34 students enrolled in these courses eligible for intermediate level training courses.
The Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia, explained that these results are best achieved by students of the PCPI of San Javier in recent years.
Also, has praised the work of professionals who teach these courses because "they have gotten almost all of the students bet back in training after having abandoned prematurely."
In this regard, he explained that 21 of the 34 students can access directly to middle-level vocational training, while the rest will attend next year training program for adults to get the Compulsory.
The PCPI are intended for students from the 16 who failed the compulsory secondary education and no qualifications.
During the 2011-2012 academic year, the City of San Javier has given these programs in the categories of ancillary vehicle maintenance, tourist accommodation and catering, and hairdressing.
These programs combine formal training with a training module in the workplace, thus facilitating the employment of young people.
During this course, students in San Javier have done internship in Workshops Mariano Pardo, Hair & Beauty Academy Antonio Moya, and the Hotel Traiña.
Transversely to the development of these programs, through the Municipal Service Employment and Training and People's University, students have expanded their training with other courses, such as food handlers, as well as job placement workshops.
Currently open registration period for students in the course 2012/2013.
