Specifically, the harbor town of San Pedro sport offers 399 berths, while the basin of the Salinas Sports Marina has 205 berths.
Nautical qualifications
The owner of Public Works said that proof of the importance of sports in the region is the number of applicants who enroll in the exams for one of several qualifications for the government of pleasure craft.
So, this year the Directorate General for Transport and Ports Ministry has approved two calls ordinary and extraordinary examinations for the degrees of master of yacht skipper, skipper of recreational craft (PER), pattern for basic navigation and pattern of jet boating category A and B.
So far there have been two calls, a regular in the month of March and the extraordinary June, which involved a total of 1,634 applicants.
Of all the most popular degrees is the PER that the call was March with 476 applicants.
The average pass rate of all degrees is about 65 percent, although the pattern for pleasure boats and jet ski pattern which gives the best results.
The third edition of this year, of ordinary character, is scheduled for November.
Antonio Sevilla, who also visited the fishing harbor of San Javier, recognized the work developed by fishermen and stressed "the economic importance of fisheries sector and its tradition in the Region of Murcia".
