Extraordinary plenary held in the day, whose only agenda was the rise in the rates referred to above, has received the vote of DPi to understand that it is time to raise the cost of services citizens, and did that to try and reduce the costs of operating such facilities.
DPi spokesman, Antonio Bath, has highlighted the urgent need to review the contract signed 10 years ago between AQUALIA and the City, which is placing a burden on the City Council since the launch of the facility, as this should cover the difference between costs and revenues from those premises, which appear to be substantial.
It is not intended that a private company to bear the losses caused by the operation, but we understand that a contract like this, signed by 25 years, must necessarily have a clause allowing review, and in the absence (matter not known) should be renegotiated, and that times have changed for the worse, and the serious economic situation we live both administered as the City Council is necessary to adjust expenses to income, although this has to change how they manage and to provide such services without detrimental to the citizen.
