The PSOE of San Javier express our concern at the beginning of the school year, reporting to the region and to the City Council:
The decrease in total teachers (about twenty) in schools in the municipality.
Budget cuts in aid (cafeteria) and scholarships for students.
Bonolibro suppression.
Increase in the number of students per class in Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary.
Decreased modalities offer high school.
Reduction in the renovation and improvement of schools during the summer.
Reviews in cleaning time centers and fit.
Mismanagement in the process of formalizing the enrollment of children in the nursery.
Insufficient information to parents about the course start kindergarten.
Reduction or elimination of regional and municipal educational programs (Educa3, School 2.0, ... Reading Plan) for the village schools.
Increase of 21% VAT on school supplies ...
Both the Government and the Municipal Regional have used the economic crisis as an excuse for the deterioration of public services, especially education system.
Socialists reject these cuts because we defend a universal public education, free quality.
