The modification of the agreement signed with the Autonomous Region of the Public Safety Plan is extending its term for four years, from 2016 to 2020
The full City Council of San Javier yesterday approved the amendment of the cooperation agreement signed with the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the implementation and coordination of Public Safety Plan.
Under this addendum, amending direct granting of subsidies for the development of Regional Public Safety Plan so that it expands its implementation period, which ended in 2016, until 2020, and redistributed the annual Community contribution Autonomous, so as to reduce its staffing by agent 35000-30000 per year, assuming the City Council difference.
The Public Safety Plan, implemented in 2006, resulted in the expansion of the staff of the local police in 20 agents and the total allocation of the Community during these 14 years is 8.98 million euros, representing an increase of 1 , 12 million from the initial agreement, which provided for completion in 2016.
The regional executive approved the expansion of the Security Plan in the Governing Council of the September 14, amendment to that already joined most of the 45 municipalities in the region.
In relation to the statement issued by UPyD, Mayor, Visitation Martinez, said that "this training Councilman has considered unrealistic figures for the sole purpose of criticizing the government team and the regional government, attacking an agreement which aims ensure the welfare of citizens and expand a plan that, since its introduction, has substantially improved the security of citizens of the municipality ".
