The CEO Institute on Aging Murciano Social Action (IMAS), Enrique Perez, accompanied by the Mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation and Social Policy Councilwoman, Frances Pelegrín visited the 97 seniors living in this residence.
The nursing home Messengers of Peace located in San Javier today held its second open house with an extensive program of activities.
Throughout the day, residents can enjoy various activities with their families, including games, dancing and chocolate, among other acts.
The director general of the IMAS Seniors, Enrique Perez, said that since the Autonomous Community have scheduled these open days in different residences in the region to show the important work being carried out on them, and the activities leisure, cultural and recreational activities that are programmed into them, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
For his part, the Mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez has praised the work of Messengers of Peace in the town and has also highlighted the close cooperation of the City with the school management.
The Councillor for Social Policy, Francisca Pelegrin, recalled that on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, which was held last October 1, various activities are being developed in the town, both in the home and in the homes older than Peter and Lo Pagan.
The director of the center, Inmaculada Martínez, has highlighted the enthusiasm with which residents host such events, and their involvement in the activities planned.
