Students of the University of Murcia participate in the tutoring program for children of San Javier, following the accession of the educational institution to local volunteer plan of the municipality.
The collaboration is the result of an agreement signed today between the rector Convalescence University, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation.
The mayor thanked the involvement of the University of Murcia in this project, "one of the largest in the City," which includes other courses of action of environmental, civic character in neighborhoods and beaches and in education, as promote reading.
Jose Antonio Cobacho, which first highlighted the economic dynamism of the municipality, the initiative has defined as a "way to raise awareness among university social problems is around."
Also, the rector has shown its willingness to expand the volunteer to the other lines of the plan, and that collaboration is limited by the time the school building program.
The rector of Students and Employment, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, has said the university volunteerism is an important aid in times of crisis and highlighted the agreements in this area are being achieved with various municipalities in the region.

This volunteer activity is rewarded with college credits.
