A total of 30 people have received the basic course of volunteering that is included in the "Discover the best of you, Become a Volunteer" of the City of San Javier
Volunteer Councilman Alvaro Tárraga, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Policy, Francisca Pelegrin, has today entregrado diplomas volunteer foundation course, which was attended by thirty people.
Tárraga Alvaro explained that this course is the first step training for people who have decided to join the local volunteer project, which includes multiple lines and action programs in social and civic volunteer.
Thus, after receiving this basic training, individuals enrolled in the plan in the coming days will receive specific training in social volunteering, or in different programs including civic volunteerism (education, culture, environment, etc.).
The mayor has emphasized the heterogeneity of the volunteers participating in the plan, and the acceptance of this first local volunteer project that seeks, from small contributions, contribute to a more participatory society pinatarense, and civic solidarity.
The local volunteer project started last September with the diffusion process, in which several meetings were held with associations and other relevant social sectors in the municipality such as the elderly and the Household users Aging San Pedro and Lo Pagan, women's groups and associations, as well as English-speaking community.
Furthermore, in order to involve young people and the university community pinatarenses, on 9 October, signed a collaboration agreement between the City and the University of Murcia for the development of this plan, under which students receive credit CRAU for inclusion in this volunteer project.
