Dragon paddlers Pinatarense AD rose with individual golds in the 200 and 500 meters last weekend at the fifth International Dragonboat regatta held in Limassol (Cyprus), which were measured 15 teams from different countries.
This team consists of 22 paddlers, and got the third position in the International Regatta held in Portugal in September.
These achievements provide a boost to the new team Pinatarense AD Dragon, a youth-led project proceed to the universities of the region (UCAM, and UPCT UMU), who have joined the experienced paddlers as Jorge Carracedo, Jon Urruticochea, Leonardo Gomez and Jose Maria Carrillo, who were part of the team and the Dragon won the club championship of Europe in 2006 in 200 and 500 meters in Poznan (Poland), and was proclaimed world champion at 500 meters a year later in Gerardmer (France).
