The municipal school squash San Javier was represented by a total of 13 players at the top of Spain in sub categories 11, 15 and 19, which was held from 26 to 28 October in Santa Cristina D'Haro (Girona) where results were excellent.
Thus the pinatarense Cristina Gómez, with only 14 years, winning the tournament at U 19 female player after defeating the Galician Catuxa Codesido by 3-0.
Notably, four of the eight finalists in this category were the municipal school players.
Cristina Gomez, champions of Spain in the Under 15, 17 and 19 and cup champion under 17, adds an important victory to his resume with this cup win sub 19.
Moreover, the young athlete has been contracted to participate in the absolute world championship squash, to be held in France, and to participate in a conference to be held modernization under the leadership of the national coach, Margaux Moros in Tarragona and serve as preparation for the world championship.
Other findings in this category were obtained by fourth María Teresa Ros, while Marina Lopez proclaimed champion and Coral Riquelme consolation, consolation runner.
In sub 15 female category, Ingrid Ruiz, Spain's current sub 13 runners, finished second player after canaria Maria Gonzalez.
In this same category Elena Gonzalez finished runner consolation.
Moreover, in 11 male sub category Adrián García Gracia finished as consolation champions.
While in sub 19 was the best result for Luis Tapia, consolation champion by defeating Jose Antonio Gomez pinatarense also.
In this same category also participated Alfonso Gomez and Jorge Luis Lorente and sub 15 male competed Angel Gomez and Jose Maria Mellado.
Prior to the conclusion of this tournament, a large group of local school players traveled to Elche to participate in the II National Shot Pichon open, valid for all national ranking.
In the women's top four players were for pinatarenses Cristina Gomez, Marina Lopez, Maria Terea Ros and Ingrid Ruiz.
In men, the pinatarense Alberto Perez was the winner, while Manuel Ruiz and José Antonio Gómez won third and fourth place, respectively.
Likewise, the September 30 Angel Pedro Perez was the winner of the test circuit veterans also held in Elche, in the final after beating Fernando Gonzalez 3-1.
The next challenge for players of the municipal school of San Javier is the Irish Junior Open, held from 23 to 25 November in the Irish city of Belfast.
